Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
