Automobiles in Germany's City Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Approximately fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored fluid.

The substance had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered many other smeared automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials say preliminary tests suggest the substance was most likely human blood.

"There is still no clue as to where it came from; officials are not yet informed of any physical harm in relation with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives said they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the residents for information.

A senior representative stated the incident made him without words and required to be resolved promptly.

"This act strikes at the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist attack in 2020," he stated on social media, recalling the killing of nine people by a gunman targeting residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
